More than a Sound Bite

Throughout history, President’s words are immortalized because they resonate with the nation, consider the speeches of Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg address, John F. Kennedy’s Inaugural Address, and Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Day of Infamy address to congress, to name a few.
As time passes and communication tools change, will our legislator’s words lose their resonance if they are subject to the communication medium utilized? Using the examples above, would President Lincoln’s famous quote, “Four Score and Seven Years Ago” be lost as a Facebook post because the rest of the speech may be considered too wordy by today’s standards. On the other hand, it’s not hard to imagine President Kennedy’s famous line, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”, as a trending tweet in today’s society, until Justin Bieber tweets a selfie.
At Tele-Town Hall we believe the communications tool should not hinder the message nor should it be the main focus. Our developers and operations team strive for user friendly operation that enables the user, no matter the rank of office, to simply pick up the phone and have a candid conversation with a large audience.
